Herd immunity is an important concept in public health and vaccination strategies. It refers to the phenomenon where a sufficient portion of a population becomes immune to a disease, either through vaccination or previous infections, thereby providing indirect protection to those who are not immune. This communal aspect of immunity plays a vital role in controlling infectious diseases and is essential for safeguarding vulnerable populations. Understanding herd immunity
